These are the skills that will support them while joining the Protective Services, gaining employment, apprenticeship or moving on to university study. We differ substantially from Public Services and military preparation courses offered in many colleges which often fail to effectively prepare individuals holistically for entry into the uniformed protective services either through too much focus on the academic qualifications (BTEC) or a narrow focus on a single protective service (military preparation).
The Protective Services Academy is run by highly qualified and experienced teaching staff many of who are former members of the protective services. Students can be registered on a range of level 2 and 3 qualifications;

Protective Services Academy was launched in 2017 as a bespoke academic and personal development programme designed for 14-19-year-olds interested in a career one of the many protective services in the U.K such as Armed forces, Emergency Services, Prison Services and Border and Security Agencies. Our programmes will provide its recruits with a nationally recognised qualification. as well as the knowledge, leadership skills and physical & mental robustness.
Key Stage 4 Qualifications
BTEC Level 1 / 2 First Extended Certificate in Public Services (equivalent to three GCSEs)
BTEC Level 1 / 2 First Award in Public Services (equivalent to one GCSE)
BTEC Tech Award in Sport, Activity and Fitness (equivalent to one GCSE)

BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Uniformed Protective Services (equivalent to three A-Levels)
